My initiation into life
Through third world countries
Wild jungles
and ancient Mayan ruins
I grew up with no orientation
The only compass my imagination
Traversing through these worlds
Entrenched in remote civilisations
Amongst people raised from the land
I walked barefoot upon the earth
Felt nature and held its creatures
and climbed the stone steps
Of those who built our past
Discovering myself in the expanses of the globe
Yearning for exploration and never having a home
I started this journey
Before I could hardly speak
and so it's no wonder why
A normal life isn't enough for me
